Teacher Appreciation! You ROCK!

Today my kids took these to school with them for their teachers.

I found each of the teachers' favorite candies and added an iTunes gift card in the basket.

I used Child of the 80's by Kate Hadfield and Piccadilly Paper Pack by Gina Miller to create the tags.

Teacher Appreciation! Mints

Here is the PTO gift for our teachers today.

I created the tags using Cookies for Santa by Kate Hadfield.

We stuck the tags onto Altoids mints for each teacher and left them on their desks.

Fun, fun!

Teacher Appreciation! Strawberry Baskets

LUCKY YOU!

Not only will I share my personal gifts for Teacher Appreciation Week, but also the gifts from our PTO (since I helped coordinate them).

Here is the gift we left on the teachers' desks for Teacher Appreciation Week today at Spartanburg Charter School.

I created the tags using Fruit Stand by Kate Hadfield and Shabby Miss Jenn's Designs. The strawberry baskets came from a local strawberry farm and we threw in some sweet strawberry candy.

Just a simple little way to say "we care about you!"

Come back tomorrow to see more gifts for Teacher Appreciation Week!

{Made it Monday} Teeny tiny bags

Not long ago, I found these Valentine bags by Christine Middlecamp.

Oh dear! All that layered paper, collage-y goodness just made me smile! I knew I had to do something similar! So, when the ladies at The LilyPad started releasing their BYOC goodies for April, I whipped up a couple of bags of my own!

Here they are in all their glory! Nothing extraordinary, but frankly, I'm quite proud of them! They turned out just lovely and I can't wait to give them away!

You can click hereto view them in my gallery at The LilyPad and to see all the credits!

Happy Monday, peeps!

{Made it Monday} A Mishmash of Sorts

Well, hello there, Monday!

It seems you still like to sneak up on me EVERY. SINGLE. WEEK.

Why is that? I just don't like it.

We need to make peace and get past this tension between us. Deal? Deal.

So, today I'm just going to show off a few recent favorite "makes" of mine. {And, of course, by recent I mean within the last - ohhhhh - 3 months, mkay?)

First up: our family mini album. We had our pictures made back in October of last year and I did not do anything with them for a very long time. When I saw this kit by Valorie Wibbens, I knew I had to use our pics to make the mini album. For a credit list, please click here.

Next up: a little meal planner and shopping list. When I saw Kate's newest kit, Chef's Kitchen, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I made a refrigerator meal planner and shopping list. I loooooove Kate's doodles! They are perfect for all my hybrid scrapping!

I also made these tags recently using some BYOC goodies from The LilyPad. You can click here for full credits and close up shots of each tag.

And, finally...a little travel sewing kit. Again, Kate's doodles had me at hello.

So, that's it for me on this fun Monday!

Have a great one, peeps!

Love Day Treats

So here are a few cute ways to package your special Valentine's Day treats.

How about a tin with a little tag?

Let's just stop right here. I need to tell you something. Something really important. Really, REALLY important.

Are you with me?

Okay, here goes. I always buy these tins when I see them on the Target dollar aisle. Any color, all colors. I buy them. I don't care if I don't have ONE. SINGLE. THING. planned for them. I buy them. I don't care if the next holiday is months away. I buy them. I don't even care if I already have 2 or 20 sitting at home in my closet just waiting to be used (*ahem* - not that I have 23 waiting in my closet to be used), I buy them. You can put just about anything in there and make it cute! Seriously, ANY. THING. Trust me. When you see these next time, you're going to want to buy them. Just wait.

Okay, back to the task at hand.

So, I made this tag with the Affectionately Tagged set by Kaye Winiecki. The tags are already made! Again, just print, cut and attach. E.A.S.Y.

Here are more of the tags (in boyish versions). I used a gift bag from Michael's and tied the tag on with twine (my new totally favorite decorating item). LOVE!

Next up, a candle. A candle is a great gift. Sure, you could just leave it as-is, but why would you want to? I think it's much cuter to tie a tag on that says "Scent with love." Come on. You know that's cute! Just look at that little skunk fella! PRECIOUS! The tag only takes an extra two minutes and totally changes the cute factor of the gift!

Here's an easy idea: dump some sour worms in a cellophane bag and add a note that says "PUCKER UP!" Holy cuteness, batman! I printed off tags from the Stinkin' Cute Valentine's Set, punched a hole, threaded a ribbon through and off she goes!

I told you, I have a "thing" for cuteness. I can't help it. It's in my blood.

Now, go. Make something cute!

I have a few more ideas up my sleeve coming tomorrow, so stay tuned!
