{Made it Monday} Annie Mini Book

Not long ago, we saw the play Annie.

Olivia had never even heard of Annie, but I knew she would enjoy the story line. Plus, her kindergarten teacher was in the cast, so we were naturally going to attend!

I only took my iPhone with me and I snapped a few pictures after the show, while Olivia posed with the cast. I'm not kidding when I say this is her favorite part of every show.

Once home, I printed a few pictures out on my printer and whipped up this little mini album to record our memories from the show. I was lucky enough to snag two programs so that I could leave one in tact (the one that the cast signed) and cut one up for the mini book.

So there! Another memory recorded!

Happy, Monday peeps!

{Things I Love Thursday} Instagr.am and Family Day

Seriously.

If you have an iPhone...
and you don't have instagr.am...

you're missing out.

That's all I'm saying.

If you have instagr.am, find me (leightheo). I love following new friends and their photos!

Here are a few pictures from GE's Family Day a few weeks ago. The kids had so much fun. I hung out with the girls while the boys romped all over the parking lot and in & out of the fun houses. {So. Not. My. Thing.} I'd much rather stand around and take pictures with my cool big girl phone.

A fun time was had by all.

{Printables} You've Been Boo'd!

Do you "Boo" your neighbors during the Halloween season?

If not - WHY?

It's basically a fun game of "ring the door bell and run like crazy while leaving behind a fun gift at the doorstep." The instructions say once you've been boo'd, then you have to boo someone new! The "boo-ing" just keeps going and going.

SO! FUN!

Don't have neighbors? How about Boo-ing your child's teacher? A co-worker? A friend?

Here are a few fun {FREE} printables you can use to do your "Boo-ing" this year!

From anna and blue paperie.

From The TomKat Studio.

Another from The TomKat Studio.

From Grey Square Designs.

From Uncommon Designs.

And one from Anders Ruff {my personal fave}.

Now you have no reason not to Boo someone this year!

Have fun and Happy Boo to You!

{Made It Monday} Halloween Notecards

So...maybe I bought a cute Halloween stamp set.

And maybe I had a little time to whip up some cute cards with the stamps.

I made my cards to fit some super cute glassine envelopes I had from a recent trip to Paper Source. {Love anything glassine. Super love Paper Source.}

The glassine bags are made of a milky transparent paper. They are 3.5x3.5 inches, so they are pretty tiny by card standards. But tiny is cute, right? And see-through envelopes? I think I love!

But, maybe when I put the simple little card in the envelope, it looked a little - well - blah. It was a bit plain, I guess.

So, I took out one of my favorite paper punches and punched an array of multi-sized confetti in orange and black.

I added the confetti to the envelope and ta-da!!

I think it's definitely the cutest Halloween card I've ever given!

I hope this inspires you to make something handmade for giving this Halloween!

Only a few more days until the big day! You still have time to make something cute!

Happy Halloween-ing, peeps!

{Fun Things} Halloween Treats

Have I mentioned that I loooooooove Halloween? I mean I love, love, love it.

I'm always looking for cute ideas on how to dress up my Halloween favors.

Here are a few fun ideas for serving up Halloween treats. These have all filtered across my computer screen at some point over the past few days and I just can't help but share them.

First up, Pumpkin Favor Pouches from Martha.

Surprise Balls from Charlotte's Fancy.

Jack O' Lantern in a Jar by the girls at eighteen25. Oh! For the love of cute. And the ribbon? Icing on the cake...errrr...cookie.

Halloween treat bags from The Twinery.

Sour cream containers by PaperVine? I think yes.

Frankenstein or ghost bags by Pink Texas Chick. I really like the updated Frankenstein with scarier eyebrows. So cute!

Friendly ghost bags by BHG? Yes, please.

And, last but not least, my very favorite of all - Monster Cello Bags by The Celebration Shoppe. SERIOUSLY. It doesn't get any cuter than this.

In fact, they're so cute, I think I'm going to do them as Halloween treats for the kids in my class. And, maybe the kids in my kids' classes. Of course, I'll change it up a little and put my spin on it. I'm not a fan of being a complete copy cat - just a partial one. But that's just me. Ha ha ha.

For more inspiration, check out my October-ish Board on Pinterest. Beware, though. Once you start, you can't stop.

So, go! Have fun and have yourself a spooky little October!

Happy treat giving!

{Gifts} Fall Teacher Treats

Finally! Some gifts for our favorite teachers!

We have some really cute, fun teachers this year and I thought the coming of Fall would be the perfect time to give them some pick-me-up treats.

I found cute fall-ish tins at Target.

I downloaded these distressed fall subway art printables and printed them really small (I got 9 per page by playing around with my printer's options). They ended up being about the size of a credit card - perfect!

I rounded the corners of the print outs and inked the edges with distress ink (something you really don't have to do, but that adds to the overall "look," I guess.)

Then I picked up some of my favorite fall-themed tissues and my very favorite fall nail polish (Chinchilly by Essie). What? You've never considered giving a nice nail polish? Why not? It's something most women like, but won't buy for themselves! Even if they don't paint their nails, I bet they'll use it on their toes?!?

Maybe?!?

Did I mention our teachers are young and hip?

Anyway - I also added some brown crinkle paper and some Hershey's kisses and voilá! A cute teacher gift!

I also made a few gifts where I changed out the nail polish for a fall candle. Still cute, I think!

So, there you go! I hope this inspires you to send your teacher something fun for fall!

Happy Fall!
