It's been a looooong time...

since I posted some crafty projects!

I made these treat bag tags for a birthday party in July. For a list of credits, click here.



Then I dolled up these cute soaps for my 4K co-workers. Just a simple gift to say "Welcome Back!!" Teachers of little kids can NEVER have enough hand soap or sanitizer! :)



I made these goody boxes for the kids' teachers during Back to School this year. They turned out cute and the teachers really liked them (I think). For credits, click here. I have another post lined up with more details on this project soon. :)




Then, we had a back to school party for all the kids in Whit and Olivia's class. We joined forces with our neighbors and hosted a fun swim party for all their classes. Here are some of the printables I used for the party. For credits, click here.




I made these sugar cookies for the party. They were shaped like swim trunks and flip flops and they were sooooo cute! I tied them up in little baggies, but the heat and a baggies were not so great for the icing...it all slid off on the bags. :( The kids loved them, though, so I guess it was a success!




I finally made a new boy version of my tooth fairy tin. I looooooove how it turned out! For credits, click here.




And, I updated the girl version, too! You know what to do for the credits.





And, finally...I got back to my painting "roots" and made this tote bag for a friend before school started. I think it turned out really cute! I don't do much painting anymore because I am just so critical of myself and I get so nervous before starting. But, this one turned out cute!



So, that's it. Or at least, that's *MOST* of it. I've been doing lots of crafting, but I struggle when it comes to taking the pictures and posting them here! :( Sorry about that!

What a difference a week makes!

In the past seven days we've gone from this:

and finally (thank the sweet Lord) to this:



I seriously could not look at that one hanging tooth ANY MORE!

My sister caught Olivia mid-laugh and yanked it out quicker than anything I've ever seen before. It was nothing short of a miracle. And, we are thankful!



Now we have an all-new Livi Loo!





Hallelujah!

She did whaaaaaat?

The tooth fairy assigned to our house last weekend must've been a *new* fairy-in-training. She went a little crazy in Olivia's room.

Here's how it went down.

Olivia lost her tooth. (SHOCKER, I know).

She was alllllllll excited about a tooth fairy visiting (as was I) until she got an offer to spend the night at Papa Joe's house. At that point, she promptly decided the tooth fairy wouldn't mind making an extra stop along her nightly travels. I agreed.

Not one to ruin the party (or interrupt a quiet evening at home with no children), I quickly sent her out the door with a promise to write the tooth fairy a note, letting him or her in on our plans. (Thanks to the movie The Tooth Fairy, my kids believe there are all sorts of fairies that can come and get your tooth - not just one - not just girl fairies - and not just professionals - there are fairies in training, as was OBVIOUSLY the case with this one).

Well, wouldn't you know, that sweet little tooth fairy flitted all around Olivia's room looking for the tooth fairy tin I sent to Papa Joe's house?!?! The sparkles from her dress got ALL OVER Olivia's dresser and she must've taken a dip in the water I left out for her because the water was PINK!





HOLY COW! Olivia Grace Theo had a CORONARY when she saw the scene. She just COULD NOT stop looking at all the sparkles and the pink water and the note that the TF left for her (scrawled with a glittery, silvery pen at the bottom of my note). I know the picture is bad...you can hardly see the writing.



In fact, Olivia was SO excited that she gave me SPECIFIC instructions to leave another glass of water out tonight since she lost her second tooth today. (HOORAY...the crooked Nanny McPhee tooth has FINALLY LEFT THE BUILDING!)

I'll have to let you know how it all turns out tomorrow! I'm thinking tonight's fairy may have a little turquoise number on...I'm feeling awfully turqoise-y. Thanks to a recent trip to Michael's and a 50% off coupon, I have every color glitter under the rainbow to prepare for the next few years of tooth shedding!

Here's to sweet little girls with big imaginations and mommies willing to encourage them! (Oh, and cool people on the internet with the idea that started it all).

Check, check, check and check

Here are all the ways we checked off the items on our summer bucket list.

I had to make a slide show because, really, I just don't have 3 hours to upload all of these pictures one by one. Sorry.

So that's it! Tons of fun summer memories all wrapped up in one little slide show!

Now I just need to print the pictures and put them in our book and we're all set to remember Summer 2010 for a long, long time!

I mean...SERIOUSLY.

I *CANNOT* believe I'm letting her leave the house like that.

She's a cute girl and that's a REALLY GOOD THING right now.

Reeeeeeeeeeaally good.

For real.

So apparently

the kids think we need to check off all of our Summer Bucket List items within a weeks' time.

Honestly.

I'm getting a little worn out.

It all started with Wize-N-Up, our church's version of crazy, wacky, wet, wild, peanut buttery, pie-in-your-face, nasty, FUN Vacation Bible School.

We had to cover our seats to ride home every night.

The kids were downright nasty freakishly soaked almost strapped to the top of the car ringing wet and dirty every night.

They LOVED it!

The first night, Whit came home soaking wet and covered in grass and other nature-ish stuff, but Olivia was completely dry and clean. (Oh, this is going to work out okay; only one nasty child each night! I can handle that I foolishly thought.)

Here are pics from the second night. Whit is soaking wet, covered in flour and Olivia is drenched from head to toe.



He was so gummed up with flour, he looked like walking play-doh.

And, then, by the third night, it was all over. Whit met me with a big blob of whipped cream in his hair and brown paint-like matter all over his face.



Yeah.

Turns out he ate chocolate pudding from a diaper.

A DIAPER.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Ewwwwwww. Eww.

But, guess who likes eating chocolate pudding out of diapers?

Yep.

Who knew?

Anyway, they had a rockin' week at Wize-N-Up and we are thankful to be back in full swing at church!

Next up, Olivia and I ventured to the Peace Center in Greenville to see Sleeping Beauty with our neighbors and friends.





We soooooo look forward to doing this each time we go. The girls love the shows and afterwards they get to walk around and get autographs from the characters.

This time, when the show wrapped and the audience was clapping {loudly}, Olivia shrieked with excitement, "TIME FOR AUTOGRAPHS!!!!!!"

I think it's her favorite part.

And, she literally got EVERY. SINGLE. CAST. AUTOGRAPH.

Even the trees.

Not lying.

Olivia definitely has the potential to be a great actress one day, given the high level of drama we currently have in our house.

For real.





















She was a little freaked out when that last big guy threw his arm over her shoulder for the photo op.

The look on her face is one part "I'm trying to smile and be polite" and one part "Get me the heck outta here; HE'S TOUCHING ME!!"

Oh, and I probably should've done a little more research before heading off to see Sleeping Beauty. It's not a family favorite of ours and I sort of forgot that the beautiful princess PRICKS HER FINGER and ALMOST DIES!!!!

Yeeeeeeeaaaah. Not a good call on my part seeing how my little princess has a not-so-fond affinity for blood.

Luckily, the part where she pricks her finger wasn't too intense and flew by quite quickly.

Thank the Lord.
